The Ivory Millipede is a beautiful and popular species among invertebrate keepers, known for its smooth cream-coloured body contrasted with darker legs and head. Native to parts of Central America, this species is calm, hardy, and well suited for both beginner and experienced keepers looking to keep millipedes in a naturalistic setup.

Chicobolus spinigerus can grow to around 10–12 cm (4–5 inches) in length when fully mature. They are peaceful detritivores that spend much of their time burrowing through the substrate or slowly exploring their enclosure. Their gentle nature and attractive colouring make them a favourite species for display terrariums.

These millipedes thrive in enclosures with deep, nutrient-rich substrate, plenty of leaf litter, decaying wood, and moss, and a consistently warm and humid environment. Their diet mainly consists of decomposing organic matter, although they will also enjoy small amounts of vegetables and calcium sources.
