Cubaris sp Amber Firefly

The Amber Firefly Isopod is a beautiful and uncommon species of Cubaris, admired for its warm amber coloration and softly glowing appearance. Its body displays translucent orange and honey-gold tones that can appear to “glow” under terrarium lighting, giving this species its firefly-inspired name.

Like many Cubaris species, Amber Fireflies prefer humid, well-established enclosures rich in leaf litter, decaying wood, and natural hiding places. They are a more reclusive species compared to some common isopods, often spending their time beneath bark and substrate where they contribute to the natural breakdown of organic material.
