Ardentiella “Tricolour” Isopod
The Tricolour Isopod is a stunning species from the genus Ardentiella, celebrated for its distinctive three-tone pattern. Individuals typically display a blend of contrasting shades such as creamy whites, warm browns, and darker charcoal markings that create a beautifully layered, segmented look across the body.
This unique coloration makes the Tricolour a standout species among collector isopods. Each individual often shows slight variations in pattern and intensity, giving every colony a diverse and visually dynamic appearance.
Like other tropical isopods, Tricolour Ardentiella thrive in humid environments rich in leaf litter, decomposing wood, and natural hiding spaces such as cork bark. They are generally shy and spend much of their time beneath cover, emerging to forage and contribute to the breakdown of organic material within the enclosure.
