Ardentiella “Pastel” Isopod
The Pastel Isopod is a beautiful and sought-after species from the genus Ardentiella, admired for its soft, muted coloration and smooth, elegant appearance. Unlike darker or highly patterned species, the Pastel variety displays gentle tones such as pale cream, light pink, soft peach, and subtle beige across its segmented body. This delicate colour palette gives the species a refined, almost powdery look that stands out in any isopod collection.
Because of their unique coloration and relative rarity in the hobby, Pastel Ardentiella are especially popular among collectors and keepers who enjoy unusual morphs. Their calm nature and fascinating behavior make them a rewarding species to observe within a well-established terrarium.
In bioactive setups, Pastel isopods contribute to the breakdown of leaf litter and organic waste, helping maintain a healthy and balanced micro-ecosystem within the enclosure.
